Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much do lessons cost?

A: Lesson tuition is $20 per lesson, paid for the month in advance; $25 per lesson for Master-level instructors. Group lesson fees vary by level, but are generally $10 to $13 per class.

Q: Do I have to have my own instrument(s) to take lessons?

A: While we provide pianos, guitar bass amplifiers, and drum sets for teaching in the studios, you will need to have your own instrument so you can perfect your lessons at home during the week.

Q: How long does it take to learn to play well?

A: We've found that most students can learn to play simple songs very well within 2 to 4 months, depending on the student.

Q: How long should I practice at home each day?

A: We usually recommend 15 to 30 minutes per day, five to six days per week, as a minimum amount of practice time for beginners.

Q: Will you send teachers to my home / office?

A: No, we don't for a number of reasons. Lesson fees would be significantly higher due to the cost of insuring the instructors to drive to your home, as well as personal liability insurance for each instructor. If you must have someone come to you, make sure they are at least insured for their own liability

Q: Can I trust the instructor(s) with my children? There's a lot of weird people out there!

A: While musicians do tend to be a little different than most people, all of our instructors have passed background checks to help ensure your peace of mind and your children's safety.
